The Owerri West 2025 Excellence Awards remains a visionary initiative by the Hope4OurYouth Foundation, in partnership with the Office of the Executive Chairman, Honourable Victor Osuigwe and his Council Members. This prestigious program aims to identify, celebrate, and promote exceptional young talents across Owerri West LGA, Imo State, Nigeria.
We look forward to celebrating the brilliance and talents of our Owerri-West’s finest.
Event Objectives

Entry Process
The entry process is designed as a grassroots collaboration between our team, the President Generals, and the LGA Councilors. Through this synergy, the message will be effectively disseminated to your wards and communities using this established structure as the primary communication channel.
STAGE 1.
For the inclusion of all Owerri west persons, registration is via our website via: hope4ouryouth.org/awards/form/ where an online form has been made available for talents to enter their details. This part is expected to last for 3 weeks.
STAGE 2.
Our team will sort entries according to the represented communities and expunge invalid entries.
STAGE 3.
The sorted entries by the award organisers will be handed over to the councillor or president generals of their respective communities as the case may be, and in accordance with our guiding rules.
STAGE 4.
Members of the Council are expected to receive filed entries for their wards and provide us with the 1 best personality amongst them to represent a given community to be awarded.
STAGE 5
At this stage every community would have provided just 1 best awardee by the office of the councillors/president general as requested.
STAGE 6
The selected few of the awardees will be assessed by our team to ascertain their Genuineness in a physical meeting for an interview, verification, orientation and briefings.
- They will need to come with a nice thumbnail photo and their certificate of origin.

- Brief Citation (about you and the achievement)
- a snippet of their project. MP4, MP3, PDF, WORD etc.
Venue will be communicated to the prospective awardees subsequently.
NB: Our dear Councilors, the role of your offices will be pivotal in this process because, dignity must speak. It would be very unfortunate if the wrong person(s) were to be awarded, as that would diminish both the value of the award and the honour of the Council itself. Your careful discernment will therefore uphold the integrity of this body and preserve the esteem attached to your membership.
More so, special consideration should be given to persons with extraordinary abilities that have maintained consistency for a period of time with relevant societal impacts and positive influence.
STAGE 7
As we are going to choose/award OWERRI WEST FINEST from the pool, all shortlisted awardees will be uploaded on a voting platform for the Owerri west icon award of the year, 2025 with their pictures on display and a brief Citation. The link will be shareable. The people will vote for them and the voting process will stop 7 days before the event which will be on the 5th of September, 2025. The one who polls the highest will be decorated as the excellent youth of the year, 2025 but all others will still be awarded and crowned their community’s best.

By enrolling in this programme, participants agree to abide by the rules and guidelines set forth by the organising foundation. The Hope4ourYouth Foundation shall not be held responsible for the selection of awardees within the various communities. However, the Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any participant who fails to meet the standards and expectations established for this event. Participation therefore implies full acceptance of these terms, and disqualification on any grounds consistent with the rules shall not be subject to petition or contest.
