Hope 4 our Youth (formerly known as
Save the Children, Inc.) was established
in response to the various dangers our
children and families face today. Did you
know that…
The National Center of Missing and
Exploited Children found that every 3½
minutes a child is reported missing?
Each time a child surfs the internet, so do
over 50,000 sexual predators? (FBI)
In 2007, over 350,000 children were
victims of parental abduction? (FBI)
According to the U.S. Department of
Justice, 797,500 children were reported
missing in a one-year period?
The children at risk of human trafficking
are not just high school students—studies
demonstrate that pimps prey on victims
as young as 12? (U.S. Department of
Education)
These statistics are staggering, and they
just scratch the surface of the issues our youth and their parents face today. Take
a look below at our Mission Statement to see what we are committed to doing,
and also Our Vision to see where we
intend to go. For more information about
the organization, read about the services
offered to the right.
Hope 4 our Youth (H4oY) is a non-profit organization dedicated to combating crimes against children. H4oY operates the Crimes Against Children Hotline at 1- 888-887-1160, twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week. H4oY educates the public about
crimes against children through awareness programs; providing investigative and abduction
recovery assistance; offers supportive counseling services; and provides, confidential, family legal services.
Hope 4 our Youth (H4oY) is launching
its organization to national capacities.
H4oY will establish a presence in the
country through a network of specialized
professionals. Together, we will strive to
eliminate crimes against children affected
by child abduction, sexual exploitation,
child abuse, human trafficking, and
runaways through our focus on prevention,
intervention, education, and advocacy.
Hope 4 our Youth knows the importance
of the issues that face our children and
families today. Child abduction, sexual
exploitation, child abuse, and human
trafficking have become major issues in
the safety of the entire human race. That is
why H4oY’s primary focus is educating the
public and making everyone aware of these
issues and how one can work to prevent
them.
In 2009, H4oY (
previously, Save
the Children,
Inc.) aired a 13-week radio show
titled, “America’s Missing Children.”
This show was narrated by the CEO and
Founder of H4oY, Michael Battaglia,
and Psychologist and Clinical Advisor of
H4oY, Dr. James Triana, who discussed
the current concerns of missing and
abducted children.
H4oY has also partnered with other
organizations in the community including
Children’s Harbor,Memorial
Healthcare System, SOS Children’s Village, and Broward Human Trafficking
Coalition to bring awareness to the
attendees at the events.
H4oY will strive to bring further awareness
by implementing educational programs in
schools and the community.
Abduction Recovery
It is now known that the chances of finding
a lead on a missing person after the first 48
hours of discovering the disappearance is
cut in half. As law enforcement and other
organizations are there to assist during
the first 48 hours, it is also crucial to have
the support of others if the investigation
continues on past that time frame. H4oY
has partnered with an investigative and
child protection agency to offer search and
recovery assistance to those families who
contact H4oY. If you have witnessed an
abduction or have any information on a
missing person, please call 911 and then
complete the Sighting Form to elicit further
assistance from H4oY professionals.
Counseling Services
H4oY understands that a crime against a
child is the most traumatic experience that
can happen to a family. H4oY operates a
24/7 “Crimes Against Children” Hotline
at 1-888-887-1160 that is available to
persons who need assistance with finding a
child, reporting a sighting, inquiring about
counseling & legal services, and becoming
involved with H4oY organization.
Specifically with counseling, you will be
linked with one of our professionals in this
area who can either offer immediate short-
term counseling, or link you to a referring
agency for long-term assistance. H4oY
offers this service to make sure that no
family goes through this experience alone.
Family Legal Services
H4oY recognizes that search and recovery
of a child can become complicated and at
times warrant legal advice. When a family
becomes apart of the H4oY team, they will
be offered family legal services including
guidance on the matter and referrals to
legal agencies for in-depth services.
